Alex Zhao

Senior Director, Construction

As the lead for all construction activities at Ballast’s construction affiliate, Alex manages fire alarm upgrades, seismic retrofits, ADUs, and maintenance. This role involves developing construction strategies and phasing plans to balance project timelines with tenant needs. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Alex directly supervises internal construction and maintenance teams across residential and commercial projects.

Alex earned a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a licensed General B and C-10 professional with an E.I.T. designation.
